PTFE & Rubber Hose Assemblies
Below are the PTFE & Rubber hose assemblies we can provide your company.

What Is PTFE And PTFE Hose?

Aero-Flex supplies both aerospace and industrial PTFE & rubber assemblies to our customers. PTFE is an engineered fluoropolymer. It has outstanding resistance to chemicals and is one of its primary characteristics. With a temperature range of -100°F to 500°F, this industrial hose material is actually suitable for the majority of fluid and ambient temperature conditions. Also an extremely low coefficient of friction provides a non-stick surface. Additionally water absorption of PTFE is negligible, less than 0.01% by ASTM test. More importantly it is also FDA-approved for food and pharmaceutical use. Additionally a PTFE product such as a PTFE hose will withstand flexing and vibration without failure from flex fatigue. PTFE is chemically inert, it will not break down or deteriorate in service. Above all it has an unlimited shelf life because properties do not change with age or exposure to weather.

PTFE inner core comes in two types of configurations. Smooth Bore is where the ID or inside is smooth and convoluted which has corrugations. If precise flow control is a priority, the best choice is smooth bore. This is possible because there are no irregularities in the wall that can cause interruptions. Smooth bore also promotes self draining. Convoluted PTFE promotes flexibility in your industrial assembly and is used when flow control is not an issue and flexibility is important. Because the assembly is corrugated the flow of fluid is very turbulent because of the converging and diverging of the fluids as it goes through the convolutions. This is why convoluted assemblies are not recommended if flow characteristics are important. With corrugated assemblies, liquids and fluids can get trapped in the convolutions and can be hard to get out without special care.

Industrial Hoses

Aero-Flex works closely with all of the leading industrial manufacturers. In other words, we have partnered with Parker, Eaton and Titeflex Industrial to supply the exact assemblies you need for your application. These types of assemblies use standard industrial Hydraulic fittings & adapters with a little bit less tolerance restrictions VS fittings used for flight. As a matter of fact, we can also supply custom assemblies to your exact requirements. Just send us the hoses and we will do the rest. Aero-Flex covers all types of applications, pressures and environments your hose assembly may encounter.

  • Hydraulic systems
  • Chemical applications
  • Pharmaceutical applications
  • Petroleum transfer hoses
  • Sanitary Hoses

Aerospace Hoses

Aero-Flex also works closely with the Aerospace divisions of Parker/Stratoflex, Eaton Aeroquip and Titeflex Aerospace. These are the largest aircraft hose companies in the world and supply a majority of the hoses you will find on aircrafts in the United States and around the world. Aero-Flex can also supply flight ready TSO certified aircraft assemblies for a variety of aircraft and specific applications including..

  • Fuel
  • Hydrauilc
  • Drain
  • Oxygen
  • Instrumentation

Aerospace rubber hose assemblies (aerospace hoses) are manufactured to specifications that include AS620, AS1339, AS1946, AS604 MIL-DTL-26626, MIL-DTL-25579, MIL-DTL-27267. We also supply what is called TSO hose assemblies. A TSO is a minimum performance standard for specified materials, parts, and appliances used on civil aircraft. Your hoses will come assembled, pressure tested and with a manufacturers Certificate of Conformance. This way they can go right on your aircraft and get you back in the air as soon as possible with minimum down time. Contact Aero-Flex Corp. today and give us your part number or ask us what type of hose is best for your aircraft and we will be happy to help you get back in the air!
